This Curatescape website explores Murfreesboro Tennessee's commemorative landscape. The Murfreesboro Monuments team created tours, and wrote story entries detailing the histories of monuments and historic markers in the city. Click on "featured stories" to learn more about the history of individual historic markers and monuments. Click on the tours tab to explore various driving tours available on the site. This project continues the work carried out by project leader Alissa Kane, who began this research in Fall of 2018 through the "Seminar in Public History" class taught by Dr. Martha Norkunas.
